BLINK OF AN EYE

In the blink of an eye its over again for another twelve months.  Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas however you celebrated it.

Bear and I sure did.  We went to church to start our day, where the Sunday school children put on  a nativity play with a difference,  everyone was in fits of laughter.  Then we said our good byes to the congregation and drove over 100kms to our destination for a beautiful lunch in a pub.  On arriving we bumped into one of our church members and both agreed if we had known we could have teamed up for our celebration.  The pub put on a delicious three course meal with a jar of chocolates on the table. Bear even let his hair down for one day consuming heaps of choccies, then complaining about putting on half a kilo.  OMgoodness!

We drove back home, face timed our three children then veged out on the couch in a food coma.  Whilst the rest of the state were sweltering with temperatures up in the high 35 to 38c, we were comfortable in our area with 24c.  Must be the sea breeze keeping up cooler. After we recovered we had some nice spanky time followed by some MFL.

We don't exchange presents amongst the adults in our family, we just like everyone's presence which we had the previous Sunday.  Our son, dil and their  family spoilt us this year gifting us a gorgeous plaque.  On Christmas morning I was lucky  to be able to open two  presents from two very special blog friends which I really appreciate.  I love the way blogging has brought us closer together.

We're having a nice rest until the end of the week when D1 and little J return for New Years eve celebrations with us.

Have a nice relaxing week everyone.

With Christmas only a few days away I thought I would get in early to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  I know its a really busy time of year for all of us.  Some going away to spend time with family and friends whilst others are preparing for their family time at home.

Which ever way you spend you Christmas, enjoy and stay safe if travelling. Hope the weather is kind to you all,  its going to be a very HOT,  HOT,   HOT  Christmas here.  I hope Santa is kind to you all bringing something nice.   Oh dear it looks like he is over worked this year, so might skip my house.  Or maybe I'm on the NAUGHTY LIST.
Also you are on the receiving end of plenty of GG spankings.

I missed my grandsons elves when he went home  so I bought some of my own.  Yes I'm going batty in my old age but a girls got to have fun.  I mainly wanted to use them  for my photo a day challenge....well that's my excuse  anyway.

                                                               GG spanking

Followed by some .......
                                                                     MFL

From my house to yours MERRY CHRISTMAS.

'tis the season to be merry.

It must be the weather or season as Bear seems to be more in the mood to spank this time of the year.  As he is musically minded he plays a beat to different Christmas carols on my bottom daily, so I have to guess which one. Fa la la la la!   If I don't guess quickly he starts all over again harder.  So it pays to be right fairly quickly.  LOL!  We both always end up in fits of giggles.

Yesterday I was off to a Christmas party with my colourist group friends.  Before I left Bear called me into the bedroom, pulled down my pants and knickers.  Bent me over the bed then retrieved his NASTY belt from the ward robe.  I really hate this belt as it packs a punch and pleaded with him to grab the cricket bat instead.

No, he wasn't going to listen of course as its his decision. WHOOSH through the air, the belt landed way too high on my spine.  I was dancing around with the first strike, Bear told me to get back in position WHOOSH same place  struck  again.  So I rolled over onto my back pleading with him as it was too high and way too hard.   He apologised after seeing marks on my back then  went to his bed side table  to retrieve the table tennis bat.
Then he started with a volley of whacks this time hitting the correct area. Up, down all over my bottom, thighs and sit spots until it was a lovely shade of pinkish/red. It soon became stingy but I was starting to get to my nice place when he said its over.  He admired his handy work whilst rubbing away the sting, saying what are all your friends going to say when you turn up with a glowing backside.  Haha very funny Bear!

I promised to be a good girl, finished preparing the food and left with a quick cuddle and kiss.

Tomorrow (Sunday)  we are off to meet up with our family for a Christmas celebration, half way between our house and theirs, a long three hour drive.  I'm already apprehensive with how things are going to turn out.  This will be the first time we've all been together since last Christmas.  D2 only comes to make sure her children don't miss out on presents.  Hopefully everyone will be on their best behaviour.  If you hear WW4 has broken out, don't worry its just my family having a tiff.  Send me positive vibes please to make it through without loosing it.

Have a good weekend.

His Babygirl by Jane Henry and Maisy Archer

LOL day this year had extra benefits for me,  as  J girl was giving away free books to some of the people who stopped by her blog to say Hi.  As I had previously read all her books she let me have her brand new book   His Babygirl  prior to  publication.

I'm not very good at book reviews not like our Ella.  One thing I can tell you though is you should really, really read this and all of Jane's other books.  Both Maisy Archer and Jane Henry team up to write  books  together and they are all fabulous.  So do yourself a favour go to Amazon and one click His Babygirl.

Hope Jane and Maisy write more in this serious.  Thank you so much Jane.

Summer has arrived at last in my town.  Today was 30c/86f and tomorrow will be just as hot.  Yay was so over the chilly wet weather.

Have a wonderful week.

EXHAUSTIPATED!

I thought I had invented a new word EXHAUSTIPATED!  When I googled it there are plenty of images with this word. So I'm not as clever as I thought. At the moment I feel like I could sleep for a whole year with our recent visit from D1 and little J.  Then its been full on preparing for our church fete which was today.  Thank goodness that's over and now I can veg out for a while

I guess I'm not gaining the mother of the year award anytime soon, as I failed miserably whilst D1 and little J were here.  It was a VERY LONG two weeks and I have to admit my patients wore really thin.  D1 needed some mummy time as she was in a bad head space.  So from the day she arrived we pampered her and little J in everyway imaginable.  After the first week I started to be a bit snappy, Bear gave me walk by swats to calm me down.

By last Sunday we had both lost it.   Running  late getting ready for church,  little J announced to his Mum "I'm hungry".  D1 had taken herself off to bed, so said ask Nanny to make you something to eat.  Snappy Nanny yelled I don't have time we need to leave in 5 minutes.  So D1 said something in retaliation which I didn't quite hear.    On returning home we had a sink full of dirty dishes to face. Bear was ropable as his  usual Sunday is to come home and make scones for lunch.  Then something else happened which I didn't quite see.  Luckily little J was in the bedroom with his mum as Bear let the C**t word rip as he almost tripped over something which was in his way.  That is one word I CAN NOT stand, he was so angry he said he wouldn't make scones for lunch yet reneged after a while.  I washed all the dishes whilst he prepared the scones, leaving some on the sink in his way. Cheekily I said I better dry them before you call me a C**t for being in your way.  Oh boy I lived to regret that,  he took the wooden spoon and let fly on  my poor  bottom...  whack, whack whack.....OUCH! Thank goodness  D1s hearing isn't very good, as its a wonder she didn't come out asking what was happening.  The next three days went by in a whirl before we sent D1 and little J home in better moods all round.

Bear and I went inside after waving good bye with a sigh of relief. Then Bear dragged me into the bedroom for a well deserved spanking with the cricket bat followed by some tender loving care.

We really do love our daughter just that its trying having to do absolutely everything when she visits.  Guess that's what families are like though.

At least I made it back to blogland in time for the cookie exchange which was heaps of fun.  Found so many delicious recipes which I'm keen to try.  Will catch up on reading everyone's posts over the next few days.

Enjoy your weekend.

GREAT ONLINE COOKIE EXCHANGE EXTRAVAGANZA

The day has finally arrived, get your taste buds ready for some seriously delicious recipes with ....

the seventh celebration of the increasingly inaccurately named

Great Online Cookie Exchange Extravaganza

We reserve this recipe for birthday cakes as it is very rich

CHOCOLATE DECADENCE CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

250grams butter (dairy free)
500 grams bittersweet chocolate 58% or higher
7 (65gram) eggs
100 grams caster sugar
40 grams plain flour (white wings gluten free)
50 grams Dutch cocoa powder

METHOD:

1. Preheat oven to 200 c.  Half fill a roasting pan with water and place on lower shelf of oven.  Grease and line a 22cm spring form pan. Grease lined paper.

2. Combine butter and chocolate in a medium heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan of simmering water for 5 minutes, without stirring, until chocolate melts.  Use a spatula to stir to combine.  Remove from heat and set aside.

3.  Use an electric mixer to whisk eggs and sugar in a bowl for six minutes until thick and pale.  Sift flour over egg mixture and use a spatula to gently fold until just combined.  Add chocolate and stir until just combined.  Pout in prepared cake tin.

4.  Bake on middle rack of preheated oven for 40 minutes or until set.  Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.

5. Carefully invert cake on to a cake stand.  Dust with cocoa powder to serve.

My daughter also makes chocolate ganache, serves the cake with that and ice cream.

Thank you Jz for hosting this event, its fabulous.

Now go visit all of these other bloggers for some delicious  recipes.

Enjoy!

Hugs Lindy
