HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Just popping in early to wish everyone a Happy Halloween.  My family doesn't celebrate it as we feel you teach your children stranger danger then allow them to go door knocking for lollies.  How safe is that???? Also there are so many warnings about what people might give your child, so we have always chosen not to participate.  Halloween hasn't been a huge thing in Australia until the past few years.  Now people are getting into the spirit with parties and decorating their houses.

We will be busy in our little town with another celebration this weekend called the Upwelling festival which is to do with the whale season. So there will be an influx of visitors from all over Australia coming to join in the fun weekend.  Also it is an extra long weekend for the Melbourne Cup (horse races).

Anyway hope you all have a fun Halloween if you celebrate it and perhaps even get a Halloween spanking if your lucky.

Universe is against us!

This past weekend we were supposed to go away for two nights to a lovely little beach side place where my dad was born and both our families have a lot of history in this area.  We were both  looking forward to exploring the area more and seeing where our families grew up. 

Things were against us from the start.  Firstly I was supposed to be seeing a specialist whilst in this area but my doctor forgot to write the referral letter.  Therefore I had to cancel the appointment I have been waiting months to attend. We decided we would still go as we had booked our accommodation.

Saturday we had most of our things packed in the car ready for a quick get away Sunday.  I got up around 4am to go to the toilet and Bear informed me we wouldn't be going as he had been awake all night feeling ill. It is very rare for him to become sick so I was really worried.  I offered to make him a cup of tea to see if it helped. Whilst drinking our tea I said to him what about if I offer our trip on face book rather than lose our money.  Bear agreed so when he went back to bed I stayed up to do that.

  I was most surprised we didn't get any takers.  Who knocks back two nights fully paid accommodation.  So we thought we would end up losing our money after all, when I came up with an idea to ring Bears sister.  She jumped at the opportunity to have two nights away with her husband.  On arrival she messaged us teasing  saying how nice it was and then again today she rang telling us all about it. Think she was trying to make us jealous.  Guess the universe was against us with one thing after another.

It is now Tuesday night and Bear is still feeling poorly but he is being stubborn and refusing to go to the doctors. He has a really short fuse at the moment as I just said something which wouldn't usually annoy him at lunch time today.  He bent me over the kitchen bench and spatulated (Katie you saying)  me with that horrid spatula.  Ouch my bottom was on fire for ages afterwards.  Note to self 'don't poke the Bear whilst he's sick.'

Fingers crossed he is better by Friday as we have D1 and her little boy arriving for a special festival in our home town during the weekend.

HUSBAND MEME

Couldn't resist Ella's meme on Husbands.  So pleased to introduce you to my Bear.

1.  Name a favorite movie of his.  Do you like it, too?  If he doesn't have a favorite movie, substitute a TV series.

Christmas Vacation for sure Bear and our son watched it every year and can almost recite it word for word. I used to like it but find it boring now.  Feel like we have worn the spots off it.

2.  Tell us something you cook or bake that gets him so happy.  Do you add something special that makes your recipe unique?


My chicken and mushroom risotto.  Bear thinks its better than any restaurants, so that's a compliment. The only things special I add is love.


3.  What does he wear to bed.

We both sleep in the nude as enjoy skin to skin contact whilst spooning. 


4.  Does he have or has he ever grown a beard or mustache?  Did you (or do you) like it or not?


Yes off and on all our married life.  I love him with a goatee as it tickles.  Then he gets sick of it and shaves it off.  So I beg him to grow it again.

 

5.  If they were going to make a movie of your husband, what actor would you pick to play him?

Sean Connery would be my favourite as he is so sexy and I love his voice.

    


6.  Who is neater around the house, you or him?  Then give us a sloppy example.


We both have our moments where we are neat and then clutter our house up again.  we are both hoarders which is not good. when we left our old house we had a huge clear out but still appear to have too much for our smaller house.

7.  If you could buy him tickets to any concert (even if it's from the past), what musician or group would be singing or playing?

Bear really loves the EAGLES so think that would be it.

 

8.  Does he wear a wedding ring?  Do you care?

Yes, he has always worn a wedding ring.  Unfortunately it is not the original as he lost it whilst swimming.  He quickly went out for a replacement. I love the fact he wears one.

 

9.  How old was he and how old were you on the day you met?  What else do you remember about that day?


Bear was almost 29 and I was 22.  We met on a blind date organised but a mutual friend and went to the movies and the pancake parlour. It was love at first site. My Mum was dying so we got engaged a month after meeting so she could see us.  Unfortunately she went into a coma that night so didn't see us marry eight months later.

 

10.  If he is the one to choose an ethnic restaurant for dinner out, would it be Chinese, Indian, Mexican, French, Italian, Greek, or ...........?

None Bear loves his steak.  So every time we go out he orders steak and vegetables.  Look this is even served on a paddle for afters. LOL!

 

11.  Is there a photo of him as a child that you find especially endearing?  Tell us about it.


In our old house I had a wall of photos of Bear and I as babies then underneath our children as babies like a family tree.  Bear looked so cute as he had a gorgeous blue and white romper suit on.

12.  If you were going to choose a dress in a color just to please him, what color would it be?


I think he would love any colour, he is not fussy that way.

 



13.  Do you (or did you) love his mother?  Why or why not?


Yes definitely.  I lost my Mum just after Bear and I met.  So his mum was  my second mum.  She spoilt me like a daughter and we got on really well. She lived until she was 93.

 

14.  Name a famous person he really admires.

One  of the former premiers of Victoria, Jeff Kennett.  He wishes he would be our next Prime Minister.

  

15.  How does your husband take his coffee or tea?

He makes his coffee in a Bodum Pebo pot.  Measures out the beans and grinds them fresh every lunch time.  Has to be exact!

 

16.  Does your man know how to dance?  Is it something you both enjoy?

He sure does.  We used to go dancing regularly when we were younger until I hurt my knee in my forties.  He still takes me for a twirl around the lounge room once in a while.

BIRTHDAY SPANKS

Been  a very busy week with dentist appointments, Bears birthday and a GIRLS NIGHT IN in aid of breast cancer.

Thursday was Bears birthday, I discussed with him in the morning that I should give him a birthday spank. He replied with 'I am the spanker and you will be getting it.' Anyway we travelled over 100kms to our nearest big town to have a lovely celebratory meal then went to the movies to see ODD BALL.  If it comes to a cinema near you, go see it.  It is filmed around the coast line not far from where we live, such a beautiful area and is about saving the fairy penguins.

 Thursday night Bear wasn't feeling too well as his lunch didn't agree with him. So the  promised  birthday spank didn't happen. He thought he would lose track and his hand would hurt anyway. LOL!

Then Friday night I went out to a local café for a GIRLS NIGHT IN where I won three raffle prizes.  I told them to do a redraw when my name was called the second time but they said its only fair as I paid for the tickets.  Had a lovely time amongst other local ladies, nice food, music and a few glasses of wine.  So I was a bit under the weather when I returned home.

Saturday night we had our usual special date night where Bear cooks a delicious roast which we have with wine.  This time the wine glasses were a bit too big and oops we were just a wee bit  tipsy. When we went to bed, Bear pulled me over his knee for HIS birthday spank.  He started out rather quickly with his hand then grabbed what he calls the cricket bat.  This is actually a beer paddle he bought from ALDI for the purpose of using on me. 

 I hate it as being made of wood it hurts so much and he rarely uses it.  Except because his hand started hurting him he made a grab for the dreaded cricket bat and boy did he lay into my poor bottom.  No giving away his age but he is  60 plus so that is a LOT of spanking.  He was enjoying watching me squirming around so much he just kept going. Bear was laughing so much at my antics and I'm sure the whole neighbourhood would have heard me.  By the time he was finished  I wanted to call the fire department to exstinquish the fire.  My bottom was so hot and I couldn't lay on my back as it hurt so much. I think the final count was around 80ish.  Ouchies!  Don't know how Abby takes so many from her Master. I definitely couldn't.

Bear soon distracted me though taking my mind of it in a very romantic way taking me to the stars and back.  So it was worth it in the end.  Glad his birthday is only once a year.

OPINION PLEASE?

I was going to write a post to ask for your opinion.  I still need it but not as much as before.

Here goes......I don't have many friends in my area, so when Bear and I joined a group I met this other girl.  She was inducted into the group at the same time as us as she is also new to the area.  Anyway she lost her husband earlier in the year so is lonely.  During the past week on two occasions N has invited me to her house for a cup of tea.  The first time she kindly made a gluten free cake for me, which was delicious.  Then when I left gave me half the cake to take home, as she said she wouldn't eat it all. On Saturday she invited me around again and offered me some other things to take home when I was leaving.

Bear and I usually tag each other in any gluten free recipes we find on face book to see if we want to make them.  So last night (Saturday)  I found another gluten free cake recipe which I shared but forgot to tag Bear. N saw it and said am I dropping hints I want her to make it next time I come over for a cuppa. All I responded was LOL!, to which she said that is sure hinting. So I added well you are a good cook so you can be my guinea pig.  Don't know if this offended her as she replied with I am full of crap.

I'm a very sensitive person and jumped to conclusions she was being nasty to me and instead of telling Bear I withdraw into myself. This morning I was still feeling hurt by her comment and was trying to figure out what I had said or done wrong.   I was going to ask everyone's opinion on what to do as I knew if I told Bear he would say distance myself from her.

Bear noticed I was withdrawn and wondered why. Then he checked the post on face book and questioned me about it. So he talked to me at great lengths and as I predicted told me not to go around to her house again.  He then took me by the hand into the bedroom and spanked me for withdrawing from him. It wasn't a punishment spanking just a hand spanking followed by his belt and some fun times after wards.  I did feel better after he took care of me.  Yet all day I feel on the verge of tears wondering why N has said this and keep thinking she must think I am a horrible person or something. I would never say to anyone they are full of crap as I think it is disrespectful.

So where do I go from here as it is going to make it awkward when we attend anything to do with this group if N is going to treat me like this?  Or am I over reacting and being too sensitive. I would appreciate everyone's opinion to what you would do please?

OOPS!

Did anyone see this butt lamp on face book?  You spank it to turn it on and off.  I sent it to Bear on his fb and D1 saw it. OOPS!   Bear added his comment that he prefers to spank the real thing. So D1 added a comment *BLOCKING MY EARS* la la la la la.  Oh dear think we let the cat out of the bag.

Also found this on face book.  Are they getting into TTWD with all these butt things?
