FFF10

I think this week FFF means Failed Friday Fitness.  Still a bit under the weather from last week.  Been too tempted with yummy snacks,  now D1 and little J are staying.  Which means I let my hair down enjoying their company with good food, wine and NO exercise.

One thing that did happen to me this week I received quite a lecture from both Bear and D1.  I was frustrated as I ate ONE piece of carrot cake and UP went the scales, so had a bit of a whinge to them.  Bear sat me down to ask me about every meal I consumed during the day.  He is NOT HAPPY I'm skipping breakfast even though he does. They both asked me how much I weighed which I don't usually share that information.  When I told them they said I'm doing really well seeing I weighed heaps more when we first moved down here. Instead of the IF eating plan I'll just have to modify what I eat. I basically eat health food options just that a lot of gluten free things are high in calories.

On a plus I have decluttered one cupboard this week and rearranged things so we can see them better.

Hope you have all had a better week with FFF with good results.

Hugs Lindy xx

  2. I gained this week also..and next week I will be with the grands all week...more exercise options...but also dangerous food around. I feel you frustration. things should get easier as you age...like losing weight, not harder. Hang in there...hugs abby

  3. Oh, Lindy, it will be okay. You're right that a ton of gf things are higher in calories, so it does make it harder. You're lucky those hot crossed buns you had for Easter didn't become your own hot buns when Bear found out about your diet!

    1. Haha thanks Baker. I think Bear would have like to take care of my buns only we had the kids here.

  4. Don’t beat yourself up about the weight, it must be hard to manage when you have food intolerances. Well done on the decluttering. I cleared out some old clothes this week and, so far, they’ve made it to the boot of my car!

  5. Hey you! I jumped on board with your 18/6 diet idea and it's working for me but Eric said there was no way it would work for him. Proof that we each need the plan that suits us! So, without beating yourself up, figure out what's best for you, enjoy your family, and be glad that your post got me on track! I've got a great egg muffin recipe to share. Try these (40 calories each with 5 grams of protein). 6 eggs, 1/4 cup milk, chopped spinach, cherry tomato quarters, and white onion. Mix, pour in muffin tins, bake 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Yummy and quick! :)

    1. That recipe looks really good thanks for sharing Amy. will have to give it a go. Good on you hopping on board the 16/8 or are you doing 18/6? Eighteen hours is a long time to fast. Hope it works for you.

  7. I will probably have a look at finding healthy low calorie gluten free foods and see what we come up with. I'll put up what I find on an upcoming fff post :)

  8. Hi Lindy, :) Sounds like you are being a bit hard on yourself! It's hard to eat completely sensibly with visitors. I think that treats always come out when our kids visit. I'm glad that you are feeling better. The weight will come back off when you are back to your routine I bet. Sounds like your Bear will help you with loving support. Some spanky business too? You've got this!

Awesome on the de-cluttering of a cupboard! We have a pantry that needs some re-arranging for sure. I think that I will give that a go this week. Many hugs,

    ❤️Katie xoxo

    1. Thank you Katie for the encouragement. Yes I am hard on myself all the time. I think there will be plenty of spanky business with this eating plan. LOL!
Good on you for wanting to declutter as well.

  9. I have had more bad weeks than good -- but hang in there -- the scales do eventually move down !! (grumble grumble) though they move up much faster and easier than down

    1. I totally agree the scales seem to move up way too easily for my liking. then we have to work really hard for them to come back down.

  10. I am afraid that I remember my favorite Weight Watchers leader sharing that you could exercise until you collapsed, but it won't get you where you want to be.

Pay attention to the food this week more than the exercise and see where it takes you, Lindy. I am rooting for you, dear girl.

    Sending Hugs Down Under,

    1. Good idea I will do that thanks Ella. Hopefully it might get me somewhere. I was keeping a food diary then let it slip. Maybe I need to do that again.

  11. We're always so hard on ourselves. Sometimes we gotta see things from an outside perspective. I'm glad you have a supportive partner and family.

    You can do this!

    1. I know that's just it, its not to be hard on ourselves though. You are right we need to look from the outside.
