You'll be surprised to hear Lindy is not being a very good submissive at the moment. Hanging my head in shame here!
Bear reinjured himself recently doing the same exercise, so I threatened him by saying I'm going to put my DOMME hat on to give him a spanking. He wasn't too pleased with this idea.
The other day we went to see Book Club, standing at the counter the girl asked if we have any pension or discounts. Bear was fiddling in his wallet trying to find his card to pay, so I told the girl we are seniors. This seemed to confuse Bear as then he started looking for our seniors cards to prove it although the girl didn't want them. So of course Lindy received another lecture for not letting Bear handle it all. OK going back in my shell now to hide.
The movie was fabulous by the way, had so many laughs. There were only 25 of us in the cinema 23 woman and two men. The only other man besides Bear was a single man which surprised me. Bear said he sat there wondering if all the others had read the 50 Shades books. LOL! On leaving the cinema we were just about to the exit when Bear gave me a swat, I was hoping no one else noticed. Apart from this there hasn't been any spanky business which is driving me CRAZY!
So during my absence I have been pigging out so badly on cake and other yummy things. I need to set myself a spring challenge to get back on the straight and narrow. Our daughters wedding is just over a month away, so I desperately need to keep my weight down to fit my wedding outfit. For my challenge I'm going to try my hardest to cut out sugar for September at least. It takes about 6 weeks to break a bad habit, by October I should be able to not have any cravings hopefully. Wish me luck!
So what's been happening around the land whilst I've been absent. I tried to read Ronnie's post the other day to find I can't get into it. I have been in touch with a few of your via fb and emails during this time. Sorry to those I haven't sent an email too recently.
Happy father's day to all the Dads celebrating tomorrow. Hope you all have a nice relaxing day with your families.
Hugs Lindy xx
Hi Lindy, Spring is so nice, we are at the tail end of summer. It has been a lovely one over here though. Wonder what Winter will hold for us this year, I think ttwd does slip at times. Circumstances often encourage change, don't worry too much about it, Hopefully you can slip back into it as you feel better. Good luck with the sugar free. IT took me a couple of weeks to not crave sweet stuff. Just don't limit everything else at first too. Small steps....
ReplyDeletelove Jan, xx
Thank you Jan. Hopefully your winter will be kind to you this year, not too cold.
DeleteI will try cutting a few things out at first, like my cakes. Oh boy, do I have a sweet tooth lately. Wise advice to take small steps.
Hugs Lindy xx
Spring there, fall here. Looks like the world keeps turning. It's very hard to keep submission in our minds when there is nothing to insure and encourage it. Hope spring will be be better for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your words of encouragement PK. It is very hard to keep being submissive during these times. Hopefully Bear will get his mojo back. LOL! Enjoy your Autumn with all the beautiful colours.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
HI lindy, glad to see you. I do hope you manage your sugar-fast in time for the dress and the wedding! LOL. I've been eating lots of sweets recently too. Must be the weather. Sorry about the non-spanky spell. But hey, a swat is a swat. And I'll take them where I can get them.
ReplyDeleteBe safe and hope Bear feels better soon.
Thank you Fondles, at least I have a goal to work towards for my sugar free time. So I should stick to it.

Happy spring. I loved the movie too, it was great fun.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back and happy to see you come up on the blog roll.

Hi Lindy ... so good to hear from you again! ... your Spring ... our Fall, it is my favourite time of the year. I'm sorry to hear you've had some setbacks, be it health or submissive mindset :)) ... Happy Dad's Day to Bear and hugs for you! ... nj
ReplyDeleteThank you Nora Jean. I love both Spring and Autumn with the nice mild weather. Bear says thanks for the greetings.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
Hi Lindy, so wonderful to see your post. I have been wondering how you are doing. I'm sorry you and Bear have been taking one step forward, two back health wise and the disconnect from ttwd and spanky action.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you are both back on top and getting back in the swing of things (ha ha) soon. In the meantime, a swat is a swat :)
Thank you for the review of the movie, definitely one I want to see.
Bring on spring! We have a wet week ahead with strong cold winds:(
Hugs
Roz
Oh Roz hope your Spring weather arrives shortly. Yes definitely go see the movie when it comes near you, its so good.
DeleteWill email you in the next few days.

Hi Lindy,
ReplyDeleteI wish spring was around the corner for us her, instead of winter! Ronnie's blog is temporarily out of servce while she copes with a security issue.
Glad to see you back!
Hugs,
Hermione
Oh thanks Hermione. Hope Ronnie can sort of her problem quickly. I much prefer Spring to winter, will send you some nice warm weather. LOL!

Hello Lindy! I'm with you. Time to change up the diet and get strong and healthy. I don't have a wedding to attend but I do need to get my life back and be strong for my daughter. I'm having a green drink every morning - spinach, lemon, pineapple, and water. Believe it or not, when I drink that first thing, I don't have those sugar cravings. That, and staying away from carbs (bread, pasta, cake, rice). Carbs make me crave sugar and balloon... those spring rolls, ya know? Anyway, best of luck to you. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteAmy
Amy I hope your detox diet helps improve your health. You have had a rough trot lately. Good luck.

Hi Lindy
ReplyDeleteLong time reader, first time commenter. I relate to what PK said, it is difficult to be in the mindset of submission when you don't feel any dominance to reassure you it is there. On that note however, outside of the physical, his words do sound like he is in the mindset. That being said, reading a blog post is only a snap shot and if these dominant days are days apart it tends to get watered down. Perhaps you can discuss with him other 'punishments' that are non physical or less physical. When injury has hit our home, Reed has taken this approach. Ice is particularly effective ( though maybe a welcome thing down under! LOL). Reed will place an ice pack on my inner wrist and bind them together, then lecture. Or have me kneel ( laying down can work too) and put ice blocks on the arches of my feet). Sure it isn't erotic as spanking can be, but trust me it can be effective.
Enjoy your spring! As Hermione expressed, wish it was our spring here. Winter and darkness is heading our way........boooooooooooooo
Welcome and thanks for leaving a comment Evelyn. Sounds like good advice to talk to my Bear about alternative punishments to keep me in my submissive mindset. Yes ice in the warmer weather would be ok but not in winter. BRRR!
DeleteHope your winter is not too cold where you are.
Do drop by and chat again.

Hi Lindy, I hear you on TTWD sometimes slipping. The parts that have always been there do remain..... some of the physical harder things may temporarily slip. Those parts will come back when you both are able. Even my guy attempted his stuff while trussed up and hooked to machines. Little shows like a swat are good! It helps us get better. I’ve been known to threaten my guy too—— it never is taken well! Lol!
ReplyDeleteThe sugar thing is true! I lose cravings when I take it out of my diet!
Good luck- happy to see you here!
Thank you Minelle. Hope your Scotsman is doing better now. It is hard when things like this make TTWD take a back bench. Oh well can only look forward to its returns again.

Sorry you and Bear are both dealing with health issues, Lindy. Winter is a difficult time to keep on top of a diet so, hopefully, spring and your daughter’s wedding will give you the incentive to cut back on the cakes!
ReplyDeleteI saw ‘The Book Club’ with a certain group of spanky ladies and it was a hoot. Well worth seeing.
Rosie xx
Rosie, oh that is wonderful you saw the movie with your spanky friends. It is a lovely movie, would love to see it again.
DeleteI agree winter is harder to stick to healthy eating. So now Spring has sprung I should be alright again. got plenty of incentives to stick to it.

Happy spring. I am glad you enjoyed the movie...it is on my list... I will join you on no sugar September...starting tomorrow... ;-) My problem (one of them) is cravings never go away for me no matter how long I create a healthy habit so it is like starting new every day and I need to be prepared for the work...I am almost there...almost... Hugs
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your no sugar September Terps. Oh that's hard if cravings don't go away.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
I tend to do that too, trying to help hubby out with situations, only to find out he thought I was taking over. We've been out of the TTWD kind of loop as well. Hoping your sugar detox goes well. :) :)
ReplyDeleteEsMay
Sorry to hear you have been out of the loop also EsMay. Hope things improve for you soon so you can have some fun with your man.
