MY BEAR HAS HIS GROWL BACK!

My Bear is almost back to normal.  We've had such a weird week both with our activities and our weather.

About October last year I was asked if I would be interested in publishing a year book for our club.  We had only been members for a few months, so I was a bit hesitant, as didn't know the others that well. Bear and I had talked about it, he said he would prefer if I didn't, as he knew it would stress me out. Nothing else was mentioned UNTIL this last Tuesday at the AGM when the new president asked me if I am interested again.  I wriggled my way out of it by saying I'm not really all that good on the computer.  She questioned me though, as I've been in a photo a day group and she likes my photos. Luckily Bear stepped in saying there must be a more experienced member.

This would be their first year book, so we think they would have high expectations.  Yet no one was telling me how to put it together, it was all up to me.  I could see the smile dissolving off A face, which made me feel terrible.  As usually I would do anything I'm asked even if it makes me uncomfortable. In this case I leaned into Bear and followed his lead.

So for the rest of the day I felt really flat.  Then that night I had a few nasty attacks on face book adding my point of view to my own page. That night I went to bed in such a terrible mood, Bear noticed so gave me a lovely stress relief spanking.  Unfortunately it didn't last long enough as he ran out of energy.  Don't you just hate it when you are feeling so relaxed and wanting it to go on longer.  I asked Bear for more and was told NO!

Wednesday we both had eye appointments as before Bear became sick he had trouble with his vision whilst driving.  So we both went in together, Bear went first whilst I watched.  The guy doing the test kept asking him can he see certain letters.....NO...... can you see that ......NO.....what about that.  By the time he could see the letters they would have been 12 inches- 30cms high and this was with his glasses on,  I was so shocked.  It was discovered he has a cataract in one eye and is virtually blind in that eye.  EEEKKK!  Now e have to wait for him to see a specialist at the end of April for n operation date.

Seeing most of our spankings seem to be at night when Bear doesn't wear his glasses, I think I need a bullseye  target painted on my backside. This way he knows where to aim.

Yesterday afternoon (Thursday)  I went to afternoon tea with two ladies from my club.  Once again A asked me about the year book.  AWKWARD!  She dropped it though after asking for a few different ideas for our meetings.  She was happy with my suggestions, so hopefully that will keep her off my back for a while.
At the end of afternoon tea I thought Bear was picking me up and he thought I was getting a lift with someone else. It was 36C  after being in the mid 20c for a while, so really hard to take.  I trotted off towards home thinking Bear would spot me along the way. Arrived home to our car in the drive and an angry Bear.  I was hot and bothered but soon another part of me was also hot and sore after Bear spanked me for being so stupid walking in the heat.
After having the split system on cool for the 36C - 96.8F yesterday, today we have it on heat as its been 16C - 60.8F, raining and windy.  Silly weather you never know where you are.  Four seasons in one day.

I'm still to cash in my spankings from the other week but guess they will be coming before too long.  In the mean time I'm going to try to be an angel and keep my wings in place by behaving.  Would you like to take a bet on that.  LOL!

Our plans for the next few months will have to be changed  as  we won't be able to travel very far.  My DIL spilt the beans on my surprise birthday party anyway,  looks like that can't go ahead   now.        Oh well them' s the breaks!

Have a great weekend everyone, hope its full of fun times.
Hugs Lindy

  1. So sorry to hear about Bear's problems, good thing he got the eye check..and it is something that can be rectified. Seems like no matter what the season at your house...it is spanking season...:).

    1. Hi Abby,
It is always spanking season...Summer ...Autumn...Winter and Spring, just how I like it. ;)

  2. I do think it is nice that Bear does not want you to overextend yourself. When people know you are capable, it is so easy to overdo. Just saying "No" is hard to manage but for the best sometimes.

Please keep us posted on what will be happening to Bear.

    Sending Hugs Downunder,
    Ella

  4. Lindy, it's all too easy to say 'yes' under pressure, I've done that too many times myself. It's good that we've got our men to give us pause for thought.
I'm glad Bear's got his growl back, I hope the other problems will be resolved soon.

  5. I once had a friend tell me the best things about turning 40 was that she could say NO. And the best thing about turning 50 was that she could say anything she damn well pleased. Keep that in mind when they come at you about the year book. As for the eye problems, I'm sure he can spank by feel for a while longer.

  6. Hi Lindy, poor Bear, thankfully they can treat cataracts very successfully now so he will soon be back to spotting all your mistakes. I wouldn't fancy the year book job either, how stressful that would be. It's hard enough to write a post and hope it is alright and not going to say the wrong thing. And as for facebook! I wouldn't even entertain it, l'd either be upset all the time or wouldn't be off of it I reckon
Hope Bear can manage by feel for the time being!

    1. Thanks Jan definitely a stressful job to partake. Hope Bear doesn't see too many of my mistakes once his eyes are better. Might not be sitting comfortably otherwise.
Hope you are still progressing and letting John care for you.

  7. Hi Lindy, I am glad that the Bear has his growl back. His eye problems are a bugger, but hopefully can be fixed relatively easily. Never be pushed into something you don't want to do...life is too short to waste time on things that are irrelivant.
Yes the weather is crazy; 35 one day, below 20 and windy the next and back up to above 30 again today. I put on shoes yesterday for the first time in nearly 6 months and it is not a good feeling

    1. Thanks Don. Yes life is for enjoyable things. Not stupid year books.
Crazy weather, wish it would make up its mind to be hot or cold. Note keep swinging from day to day. Still chilly here today. I've just returned from seeing the Tall ship. Feels strange having to dig out winter clothes already.

  8. LOL...You Australians and your 'extreme' weather..pfft. You make me giggle. Venture to the Great White North sometime ( where it was 6 degrees C and I was outside without a coat eating lunch the other day!), and we'll teach you about extremes!

Sorry to hear about Bear's eyes, but the solution is thankfully simple. Also happy to hear he got his growl back. Most recently my Barney became his happy caveman self again after a slight pause for annoying LIFE! LOL.

    1. Thanks Willie yes us Aussies complain yet we don't have the really low temperature like you. Wow how can you be outside without a coat on such a cold day.
Happy to hear your Barney also has found his happy caveman self. Life seems to get in the way all the time. Guess we all have our ups and downs. Nice when our men are good though.

  9. I am sorry about Bear's eye issues! That just stinks!
I completely understand how hard it is to say no! Stick to your guns and let Bear growl at them if they come to close!

  10. So very sorry about Bear's eye issue, Lindy. My mom had cataracts on both here eyes so had to have two separate surgeries. She did very well and was able to do away with her glasses for years...just recently had to start wearing reading glasses again. Sending lots of prayers and positive energy.

Sounds to me as if A is a bit on the manipulative side...don't give in! Just say NO! ;)

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

    1. Thanks Cat for the reassurance on Bears op. Would be fantastic if he could do without glasses for a while.
Yes A is definitely manipulative and now she's Madame President we are all in for an interesting ride.

  11. glad Bear has his growl back. :-) I am glad he found out about his eyes so they can be corrected. My husband has perfect vision, and sometimes I still think he could use a bulls-eye map. :-) No is difficult to say but important to stay true to yourself and what you can handle. Hugs to you.

    1. Hi Terps,
Funny you think your husband needs a bulls eye also. Its not as if my backside is tiny, there is a huge area to aim for, yet he seems to miss. Oh well, that's life.
I had to say NO again for a different reason on the weekend. so I'm starting to toughen up and gain confidence now.
