HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a wonderful celebration with family and friends.
Its good to be back in the land after saying good bye to our visitors and now we can get back to being Darby and Joan again.  Don't get me wrong I love having D1 and little j here but I love being an empty nester even more.  So Bear and I can be spontaneous whenever the mood takes us.

I've got a few spankings in the bank which I hope aren't earning interest.  Waiting for the weather to cool so we can have some fun.  Yesterday it reached approx. 38c/100f, way too hot for my liking.  Even though we had both split systems going most of the day, it still felt like you could fry an egg.  D1 chose that day to drive home, silly girl,  goodness knows how she coped as she hates the heat.

Anyway  let me explain about my banked spankings.  Do you have labels on medication stating

DON'T DRINK OR DRIVE WHILST ON THIS MEDICATION.

Pfft!  I always thought it would never happen to me and have always had the odd glass of wine with my meds.  UNTIL recently I was in a really bad flare and just wanted to feel human.  Christmas day I had a cocktail, then Boxing day I had just one glass of wine whilst on pretty heavy duty pain killers.  Oops!  That was a huge mistake as for the rest of the week I was basically knocked out.  I walked around like a zombie having to hold onto things to stop falling over and stop the world from spinning.  Bear was furious with me, so told me when I'm better I will be having a discussion with his belt. EEEKKKK!

Then whilst D1 was here I didn't quite follow my diet ending up sick.  Well she's a bad influence leading me astray.  So Bear has made it a very strict rule this year I am to follow my diet right down to the very last morsel.  If I ever am tempted to eat anything which will affect me I will have a trip OTK.

I thought this was him being funny  and didn't take it seriously so I ate way too many risky items with D1.  Dare to say that's my 2nd banked spanking.  Hopefully I don't bank anymore before I cash them in.

Luckily by NYE  I was off my pain meds so could enjoy a few cocktails made by my   sexy bartender Bear.

Boy were they strong,  I'm not really a drinker and it only takes two glasses to set me giggling.  We saw the new year in watching the fire works from our back deck.

Will make my way around blogland this coming week to catch up on everyone's posts and reply to all the emails.

Have a good week everyone stay warm if in colder climate and cool if in the hotter parts like us.

Hugs Lindy xx

  1. Hi Lindy, I'm sorry about the flare and glad to hear you were off the pain meds by new year. Hope you are now feeling much better.

Naughty girl drinking on pain meds. Hope you manage not to bank any more spankings!

I would gladly take some of your heat. Summer so far has been pretty crappy, where we are at least. We have had some lovely warm Sunny days, but also a lot of cloudy, windy cooler ones and drizzle.

Happy New Year to you, Bear and family. I hope 2017 is a wonderful year for you.

    1. Thank you so much Roz. Hope summer reaches you before too long so you can enjoy your holidays. Will certainly share our heat as where we live it usually doesn't get quite that hot.

Happy New Year to you and Rick. Hope 2017 is a better year for you health wise and no more earth quakes. Also you have some spanky fun amongst all you busy life.

  2. Could use a little bit of that heat this way....single numbers here. Banked spankings, I much prefer to get them out of the way as soon as possible...unless they are of the good girl kind, then the anticipation is nice, as long as I don't have to wait too long.
Hope the new year finds you and your family healthier and richer..if not in possessions then in the things that really matter...love and kindness

  3. Hi, Lindy,
So happy things are on the up and up for you. Sounds like the new year had a bit of a rough start. Banked spankings? That doesn't sound like much fun at all. Glad you had a good time with your loved ones though! Here's to hoping the rest of your new year is lovely and the weather cools down a bit, so you may enjoy it.

    1. Thank you Bleue. At least I know for future times I'm on heavy duty meds not to mix them. Yes definitely got caught up in the crazy festive season.

  6. People never understand why I NEVER have an alcoholic drink when we are out at a party of with friends. "Just have one or two...it won't make any difference" is frequently quoted at me. Unfortunately regular meds and alcohol do not mix; one of my pain relievers sends me totally ga ga after only 1/2 a beer. Then attempting to do anything complex like drive or give a spanking....I think not!

The weather has been a bit fierce here as well but a cooling sea breeze nightly returns us to sanity. Hope you and Bear had a wonderful Christmas Season

    1. I'll know to be more careful and follow directions in future. It sucks though with us having to be on our meds and not able to enjoy a drink.

Hope 2017 brings you both better health and happiness. Also that it cools down for you soon. bear and I had a fabulous Christmas season, always over way too fast.

  7. Oh good gravy, Lindy! Mixing meds and alcohol! What were you thinking?!?!?! Sorry my friend but you deserve a barn burner for that one...that actually put your life at risk! Hope you don't earn a lot of interest on those spankings! Wishing you and Bear a lovely and loving 2017.

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

  11. It is hardest to be practical and walk the line during the holidays. The sugar alone can do me in.

Glad there is a bear in your life to catch you up when those bad decisions start to stack up. You have definitely poked the bear a bit, too.

    Happy New Year!

  14. no more adding to the bank...take care of yourself. The holidays or hard to stay on task in terms of eating even when we know certain foods don't agree with us...now that the new year is upon us it is a good time to get back on track...most sweets are now out of the house so I am ready to begin on my own healthy eating. Best of luck with everything...hope things cool down for you. Hugs

  15. I'm glad you're feeling better now, Lindy. I seem to be past my episode too, at long last. I was drugged up to get through Christmas dinner but left off the meds later so I could have a glass of Champagne, which turned out to be an effective muscle relaxant. Who knew?

I've paid off my overdraft at the spank bank - hope yours isn't still earning interest.

A belated Happy New Year to you and your family.
