FFF9

Have you ever had those moments where you feel on top of the world.  Everything is going extremely well, your eating a healthy diet, exercising heaps and happy as Larry.

Then you come crashing down with a huge thump back down to earth. I know they say what goes up must come down but REALLY, why can't I stay on my happy journey without all these hiccups. So disappointed!

Saturday I felt fabulous so did an extra long ride on my bike.

Sunday I was so full of energy I couldn't sit still, I felt like the energiser bunny.

Monday Bear and I went shopping so I doubled my step count which felt absolutely wonderful for someone who couldn't walk not that long ago.

Then come Tuesday morning we both felt blergh, swollen glands, sore throats, aching all over.  So no exercising since.

I even cheated having an ice cream to sooth my sore throat. Oh well it was a good enough excuse for me. LOL!

I've decided  seeing I've been doing so much exercise for the past 8 weeks, yet the scales aren't budging to pull out the big guns.  So I've started the 16-8 fasting method where you fast for 16 hours then eat in the 8 hour window.  My eating starts around midday 12 o'clock and finishes at 8pm.  For breakfast I have a huge cup of tea and that's it.  I think it will take me a while to adjust to not having breakfast, looking forward to some results though with those scales.

Next week I think will be hard with Easter.  I've found some delicious chocolate hot cross buns in the supermarket.  Usually in the past the gluten free hot cross buns have been disgusting, these ones are really nice.  Yes I've cheated by sampling a few already.

Then on Saturday we are off to meet our family at the half way mark for our celebration.  There will be plenty of delicious temptations to eat,  Bear is making  a carrot cake at the request of D2.  Luckily its going to be gluten free or I would be throwing a tanty.

Hope everyone else has had a good week.

Don't over indulge with Easter or get hopping like the bunny to burn off those calories.

Happy Easter!

OLIVIA ASKS A VERY INTERESTING QUESTION

Olivia asks when did you first know that you were into kink? How did you realize it? Is there a story that goes with that?

From a very young age, I've had what I thought was a weird feeling of wanting to be spanked.  I was spanked as a child by my dad, which I hated.  Yet this yearning was something different. When Bear and I first met we made a bet.  If I won he would spank me and if he won well.........

Anyway that was my first spanking in our relationship.  We both enjoyed it and continued until our children came along.  Bear would have still spanked then also, only I was worried about the noise factor.  So it was put on hold until we moved to our new house.

Our son, dil and grandchildren came to visit not long after moving here.  Dil was going on about a disgusting book all her friends were reading which they asked her to read also.  This piqued my interest so much, that Bear took me to our local library to borrow the books. Boy was that an eye opener for me.

One night Bear was in his music room playing his instrument and I was curled up on the couch reading FSOG in the lounge room.  I read all the books and voila!  I discussed my need to be spanked again to Bear.  Although we had indulged earlier in our marriage he was like No way I can't hurt you. So he did a bit of research himself, finding many blogs after typing in the word SPANK on google.
Up until this point I thought I was the only one who loved to be spanked. Was I crazy, what is wrong with me? Then it opened up a whole new world, when I found everyone's blogs and realised there are others with the same craving so to speak.

We mainly do TTWD for fun so haven't got into anything too heavy. I would like to try many others things, unfortunately I can't persuade my Bear to try them though. He is a very gentle man, so is hesitant. TTWD has made us closer like newly weds again, we are both loving the effects.

Thank you for your question Olivia, it was fun to answer.

WINTER OF YOUR LIFE

I came across this on face book and thought it very appropriate.

THEN IT IS WINTER NB PLEASE READ THIS ITS VERY GOOD
I FIRST STARTED READING THIS EMAIL & READ IT FAST UNTIL I REACHED THE THIRD SENTENCE.
I STOPPED AND STARTED OVER READING SLOWER AND THINKING ABOUT EVERY WORD. THIS EMAIL IS VERY THOUGHT PROVOKING.
MAKES YOU STOP AND THINK. READ SLOWLY!
You know. . . time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all. I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.
But, here it is... the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise...How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my youth go? I remember well seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like.
But, here it is...my friends are retired and getting grey...they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me...but, I see the great change...Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant...but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd be. Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore... it's mandatory! Cause if I don't on my own free will... I just fall asleep where I sit!
And so...now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never did!! But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...this I know, that when it's over on this earth...it’s over. A new adventure will begin!
Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn't done...things I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I'm happy to have done. It's all in a lifetime.
So, if you're not in your winter yet, let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly! Don't put things off too long!! Life goes by quickly. So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not! You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life...so, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember...and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the years past!!
Life is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those whom you share it with.
LIVE IT WELL!
ENJOY TODAY!
DO SOMETHING FUN!
LIVE WITH ALOHA!
LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
SHARE DON'T SHOW!
Life is like a lease, negotiate it well.
It is health that is real wealth, and not pieces of gold and silver.
FRIENDSHIPS WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE WEALTH. If you have drifted apart for any reason forgive and forget, and live forward not in the past cause tomorrow may not come.
TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN, YET THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE SO - ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS.
~Your kids are becoming you......but your grandchildren are perfect!
~Going out is good. Coming home is better!
~You forget names.... But it's OK because other people forgot they even knew you!!!
~You realize you're never going to be really good at anything.... especially golf.
~The things you used to care to do, you no longer care to do, but you really do care that you don't care to do them anymore.
~You sleep better on a lounge chair with the TV blaring than in bed. It's called "pre-sleep".
~You miss the days when everything worked with just an "ON" and "OFF" switch.
~You tend to use more 4 letter words ... "what?" "when?"... ???
~Now that you can afford expensive jewelry, it's not safe to wear it anywhere.
~You notice everything they sell in stores is "sleeveless"?!!!
~What used to be freckles are now liver spots.
~Everybody whispers.
~You have 3 sizes of clothes in your closet.... 2 of which you will never wear.
~But Old is good in some things: Old Songs, Old movies, and best of all, OLD FRIENDS!!
Stay well, "OLD FRIEND!"
Send this on to other "Old Friends!" .
And let them laugh in AGREEMENT!!!

ELLAS QUESTION MY ANSWER

Ella asks What is it like to have Christmas in the summer?

Interesting question Ella.  We have always experienced Christmas in summer down here, so we don't know any different.

I suppose our celebrations might be different compared to other countries where its cold or snowing.  The weather can go from one extreme to the other though. Sometimes we are celebrating Christmas with a cold chilly day, others it can be stinking hot.

My family used to make a traditional Christmas meal of roast meat, either turkey or chicken with roast vegetables. Followed by Christmas  pudding, custard and cream.  Sitting there on really hot days trying to act cool  whilst eating HOT meals wasn't our idea of fun.

Over the years our tastes have changed, now we basically have cold meat or a bbq, with  salads followed by pavlova.

Much better on days when the temperature can reach up to 40c/104f.

Afterwards some people relax by playing beach cricket.

Cheers Ella!
This is the part you'd enjoy, sipping on a nice cold beer, chillaxing.

As we don't have snow, farmers in the area decorate hay bales in various ways. Each year they seem to do a different thing and now its become a competition to see who can decorate the best.

Although I do enjoy our summer Christmas, I'd really love to experience a white Christmas. I think that would be so wonderful. I guess we always want the opposite. LOL!

Thank you for your question Ella, I hope this answered it for you.  It was fun thinking about it and comparing.
