Just popping in early to wish everyone a Happy Halloween. My family doesn't celebrate it as we feel you teach your children stranger danger then allow them to go door knocking for lollies. How safe is that???? Also there are so many warnings about what people might give your child, so we have always chosen not to participate. Halloween hasn't been a huge thing in Australia until the past few years. Now people are getting into the spirit with parties and decorating their houses.
We will be busy in our little town with another celebration this weekend called the Upwelling festival which is to do with the whale season. So there will be an influx of visitors from all over Australia coming to join in the fun weekend. Also it is an extra long weekend for the Melbourne Cup (horse races).
Anyway hope you all have a fun Halloween if you celebrate it and perhaps even get a Halloween spanking if your lucky.

We don't do Halloween any more since we have no little ones. But I loved it as a child and enjoyed taking my kids around. Of course we only went to homes where we knew the people - even when I was little. Neighbors, people we knew from church, we never went to strangers houses. Hope you have a great Festival.

DeleteOur festival was fantastic today. The weather was perfect after a thunder storm during the night. Although I'm sunburnt now. LOL! Goes from one extreme to the other with weather here.
