Bear stepping up.

My Bear seems to have stepped up his HOH position  becoming very strict of late, although I guess I've deserved what he has dished out.  I'm not supposed to lift my right arm above waist level on doctors orders.  This makes life really hard as far as house work goes, as I can't put the washing on or off the line.  Some times I forget, like today its been raining,  Bear was busy tinkling   in the garage, so I rushed outside to bring the washing in.
He came around the corner asking "What do you think your doing?"  I sort of looked at him and almost blurted out well isn't it obvious I'm getting the clothes off the line, then the penny dropped I'm not supposed to do it.  On my way back inside he looked around to make sure the neighbours weren't watching and pulled me in for a few hard whacks.

Then I decided  it was perfect weather to cook a  curry for dinner, so I climbed up on the foot stool to reach the ingredients in the cupboard.
Once again I was sprung reaching up,  down came my pants and panties whilst balancing on the stool. Boy that man has learnt how to swat really hard leaving my bottom stinging for ages.  Guess some girls never learn but its so frustrating not being able to do things.

On another subject, have any of you ever mixed your real life and blog lives up?  I've been guilty of it a few times lately letting small things slip.  The club Bear and I belong to are attending a function where each group has to perform something.  We ( Bear and I)  are not attending, yet a few of my friends keep nagging me to teach them different dances.
One time I mentioned..... you'll have to ask my boss as he wouldn't like his wife injured again.  On a second occasion I said something about Bear being my Dom.  Wondering now what they are all thinking and how to explain my way out of any questioning if it arises.

  1. Hi Lindy, oh gosh, Bear definitely has his HoH hat on, you better be careful. I can understand how frustrating and limiting it must be not being able to raise your arm above waist height.

Not sure that I have let too much slip, but I think most family and friends clicked that I deferred to Rick. Not sure how to answer any questions, perhaps just explain that Bear ultimately has the final say and veto in your relationship but that doesn't mean you don't have a say.

    1. Thanks Roz, it is hard to remember when the pains not there to not use my arm. Guess I'll be getting plenty of reminders from Bear though.
Hopefully my friends won't ask any questions, just want to be prepared. Haven't let it slip before.

  2. In your defense..really hard to remember not to do the normal household things...but sounds like you need to start. And good for your bear for stepping up.
Most or my slips are using the word Sir....I usually just laugh it off. and say something about stroking his ego, or laugh...no one has ever tried to really question me about it.

    1. Oh yes I've called Bear Sir before also and got weird looks. Just brushed it off as a joke. Hopefully my friends won't get too nosey.

  3. You'll think of something to say. No worries.

It's hard to remember not to do things that have always come naturally, it's a good thing Bear is watching out for you.

  7. Once they find their HOH hats, there's no stopping them Lindy. Glad Bear is looking after you. That could be your answer if your friends ask questions - you can laugh it off as him just being bossy to keep you following doctor's orders.

  8. Oops Lindy...it is hard not use both hands and do what needs to be done. But very happy Bear is taking very good care of you. As far as anyone asking...if it were me, I would simply say...we've agreed that Bear is the captain of of our ship and I am the first mate. If they ask any more than that or disagree...basically tell them to mind there own business...this works for your marriage. ;)

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

  9. HI Lindy, Maybe just say if anyone asks that he is being extra bossy because of your shoulder. I have often called hubby my sir in front of people. No one ever says anything to me, I think they assume I am being sarcastic even when I am not. Dil thinks its cute!

  10. After my last surgery, Sam told me there was, "...a new sheriff in town," and I had better not lift a thing. Yes, there were reminders, too.

Take care of yourself, Miss Lindy!

  11. Uh oh, sounds like you'd better watch your p's & q's with Bear being firmly in HOH mode. I'd likely find myself in the same situation though if I had such restrictions. I mean, how are you supposed to do anything if you can't reach up like that? Frustrating. Of course he's just trying to take care of you ... but ... well ... geesh! lol

I don't think I've ever slipped like that before. If I did and someone asked about it, I'd likely just laugh it off or wink and not say anything or ... well, I don't know, it would really depend on what my relationship was like with the person asking I suppose as well as depending on how they asked (mortified/concerned/interested/curious, etc.). Hopefully no one will ask or think anything of it. ;)

    1. Thanks Lilli I'm trying to watch my p's and q's hard sometimes though.
No further questions have been asked by my friends so hopefully they've forgotten about my slips. LOL!
