Ladies and Gentlemen of THE LAND lend me your ears.
Today in our Herald/Sun newspaper is an interesting article where a husband is asking if his wife is cheating on him.
Question: My wife and I have been married for 12 years. Recently she has been wanting to try new things, such as sex toys and new positions. I've heard this can be a sign someone is having an affair - should I be worried?
The so called sexpert answered that this could be correct. LOL! That because you ask your partner to experiment you must be cheating. Pffft! I will try copying this article but not sure if you can read it properly.
So does this make all of us guilty of cheating on our partners because we went to our husbands/wives to ask for a bit of kink to spice up our marriage. Bear and I had a good laugh about this article and couldn't believe that a bit of spice in the bedroom would make someone think you were cheating on them.
Maybe she was tired of the missionary position, or had just read FSoG like a lot of us did. Or you might just bore her buster.
Then the sexpert goes on to say its perfectly normal to want to experiment. Make up your mind woman, which side are you taking!
What do you all think about this bit of rot?

Hello and welcome to ............ Love our Lurkers 11th year. Hermione is so kindly hosting this event again this year. So pop on...
Hi Lindy,
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that wanting to spice things up automatically raises suspicion. I do like that she says it should be welcome and celebrated at one point in the article at least.
Hugs
Roz
That is true Roz, why should it raise suspicion. I glad she changed it around.

I think the person answering the article is trying to be "correct" either way. so lets say, yes it's possible she's cheating, but let's also say it's good to spice things up. Also - I agree with you about it being a "bit of rot"!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you agree with me Fondles. Yay! I think she doesn't want to commit to either way of thinking.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
If she were cheating she wouldn't necessarily be interested in spicing things up with a husband. I think she wants to spice things up with her husband - who wants to do the same ole thing every single time.
ReplyDeleteWake up Mr. mr or she might start cheating.
Exactly Sunny, I think he must be boring her with his moves.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
Oh for goodness sake! He’s lucky she asked HIM to spice it up! If she were cheating she wouldn’t have needed to ask HIM! Lol!
ReplyDeleteVery true Minelle, she would just keep on going behind his back.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
Couples who are together for a long time need to spice things up once in a while , so she is just taking the initiative on that front , likely because he won't!
ReplyDeleteIf she was having an affair she wouldn't be trying to spice things up with him would she?
He should be thankful...bring it on.
Very true Glenmore. We do tend to get a bit stale after a number of years together. So its nice to spice things up. I agree she wouldn't try with him if she were cheating.

Yes, this sounds like rot to me, Lindy. What I really want to know is what makes this person a sexpert? Sounds like they need second opinion.
ReplyDeleteSending Hugs Down Under,
Ella
I would like to know what qualifies her as a sexpert also Ella. Why does she think she can tell someone about their sex life.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
What a load of tosh! If she were having an affair she’d hardly rock the boat at home!
ReplyDeleteRosie xx
Exactly Rosie. She would just do her normal daily living at home and have her affair without him knowing.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
Ummm, I would say that wanting to spice things up was a sign of wanting to save the marriage or make it better, not end it or hurt it by cheating. That is why I asked for more, I wanted to make our marriage better. Mmmm. It's better. :P
ReplyDeleteHugs, EsMay
Oh yes ours is way better since we spiced it up. It always was good but now its like we are newly weds again.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
I'd say that this is junk for sensationalism, Lindy! :) My thought is that someone who is having an affair would be hiding things, and not changing them up at home?
ReplyDeleteYAY for us all for spicing up our sex lives! Thank you 50 Shades, and Blogland too! Many hugs,
❤️Katie xoxo
Yes we are all wonderful for spicing up our sex lives. What a wonderful service 50 shades has done to the community. Blogland is fabulous also for helping it all going.

ReplyDeleteI think everyone here is in agreement that her wanting to try something new is a sign of wanting to saving the marriage, not the opposite. Things can get dull in any relationship so what is wrong with wanting to try something new? Poor article overall.
I have to say though, I was confused as I first saw the picture before I read your post and thought it was Martha Stewart in a prison shirt.
Best,
Enzo
Haha that would have been funny Enzo if it were Martha Stewart. Yes totally agree she is trying to save the marriage. Whats wrong with a bit of spice, its awesome.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
What absolute balderdash! Thank goodness we experiment, otherwise life would be very, very dull. Our orgasms are more fabulous than ever, because we know what each of us like, and experiment off of those ideas.
ReplyDeleteWe talk quite a little more about sex, than we ever did when married over 45 years ago.
