A PICTURE PAINTS A THOUSAND WORDS.

If a picture paints a thousand words take a peek at these photos.

This happened the other day.

I swear this was unintentional.

Our visitor yesterday

Monday night sunset

D1 and little J are still here so me thinks Bear and Lindy are a tad frustrated. Hence the flour hand prints when Bear was making scones on Sunday for lunch. Then my faux par last night when I dished up Bears dinner.  It was totally unintentional, I swear. I didn't even notice until D1 pointed it out. Oops! Today little J wanted ice cream after his lunch, so whilst dishing it up I broke the scoop. Surprisingly Bear walloped me with the wooden spoon right in front of D1 and little J.  Luckily they thought it was funny with D1 saying I deserved it.  Three hours later and my butt is still stinging.  No secrets in our family anymore.

We had a very worrying time the other day, as our son and his family had to be evacuated due to a deliberately lit fire opposite his house.  Luckily no people or animals were hurt, there was lots of damage around the area though. The fire was lit by a 15 year old girl who didn't get her own way with her parents.  Think a spanking might do her a world of good and a stint in a burns unit to see the damage fire causes.

Hope everyone is having a good week.  Stay warm for those experience snow and stay cool for us in the southern hemisphere.

Hugs Lindy xx

  2. Hi Lindy, oh well at least Bear is finding ways round the privacy issues, lol. Nice Koala, they are the cutest creatures, just want to cuddle them. What a lovely blue sky all around him too. Ours seems to have been bleached!

  3. Hi Lindy,

I'm with Fondles on the ice cream scoop AND spanking. Thank goodness D1 and Little J just thought it was funny...hmm, does make you wonder what they might 'think' they know though.

LoL at the first first two pics. Love the other two, the sunset pic is beautiful and the Koala looks so cute, though I know they can be far from cute.

Oh gosh, what a worrying time with the fire! Was there any damage to your son's house? Thank goodness no people or animals were hurt. I agree with you with regard to the culprit!

    1. Thank you Roz. D1 knows about what her mum and dad get up to these days now. We had a chat about it recently which was interesting. I do wish koalas were as cuddly as they look.
Luckily no damage done to our sons house, it was a worry though.

  5. There are no accidents! LOL looks like fun times at your house. As for that 15 year old I think her parents are about 14 years late on some discipline.

  6. Oh Lindy, laughing at Bear's antics. Love the pics and every time I see a koala bear I think of my MIL - she so loved those little creatures.
Glad your son and his family came through the fire scare unscathed.

  9. Lindy,
Bear knows how to keep things "private" does he not? LOL! I had to laugh at your bum pic. He has nice "handiwork". Glad things have settled down with the fire. Amazing what teenagers will do to get attention. The pic of how you plated your man's food must have indicated you had something else on your mind, lol.

    1. Baker I swear the plating was an accident. LOL! Or maybe someone is frustrated. Yes Bear seems to take a delight in doing things in front of D1 who now knows our secret.

  11. Lindy,
I am glad things are safe and sound now. As for your kitchen exploits, the floured bottom says it all.

We make sure to do everything before its too hot. Then in the afternoon relax with the air cons on sipping cool drinks. Tomorrow (Thursday) is going to be in the mid 30c.

  12. What is it with our guys in the kitchen? Sam can hardly walk by without a swat lately. And there are way too many handy items laying about. There is one BBQ spatula that goes right through jeans.

I love homemade scones! That man is a jewel.

    Sending Hugs Down Under,

    1. Ouch Ella, I don't fancy your bbq spatula. Our men are very inventive with the implements they use, all in the name of love.

  13. Hi Lindy,
Loved your pics! So cool that your Bear found a way to get some ttwd action even with your daughter and grandson in the house!
    You're relationship sounds adorable!
I'm sorry to hear about your son's house and glad everyone is ok. I agree with you on the girl involved. I have a friend who lost 2 small children in a house fire and one of her other kids was badly injured and still needs surgeries 3 years later. If only she understood the damage she could have done.

    1. Thanks Jlynne. It was a fun way for Bear to get a bit of spanky business in whilst D1 was here.
That is so sad about your friend, it would be devastating.
