CHECK IN TIME AGAIN
Apart from this I've had a wonderful week with my eldest sister and bil visiting. Monday would have been our Mums 97th birthday, so we celebrated with a curry for dinner which I burnt, in true Mum style. When Bear explained this to my sister, she told me a funny story which I hadn't heard before, so that was really nice.
Tuesday we met them for lunch in our favourite pub, so not really healthy eating again. Of course it also happened to be Shrove Tuesday, so pancakes for dinner. Yay!
Wednesday Valentines Day, Bear and I had a special candlelit dinner and dessert with a bottle of wine.
Thursday was our youngest daughters birthday, so even though we were not with her we still celebrated.
That brings us back to Friday.

Wednesday I went to see my osteopath about my back. He checked my whole spine and made me twist'n'turn then suggested the problem could be coming from my ribs which I hurt last year. So he gave me some gentle exercises to do, told me he is happy with what I'm already doing, just to take a day in between to recover. One good thing he is very pleased my muscle tone is excellent, woohoo.
So that's my week for FFF3, hope everyone else went well.

Next week will be another one of no exercising. As of Saturday I have to go on a special white diet for two days, then Monday a liquid diet in preparation for Tuesdays procedure. I'm feeling calm about it now, certain they won't find anything. Just not looking forward to drinking that horrible prep and the atomic runs to the toot. Bear is threatening to padlock the toilet. After this I'll be back in the game with my healthy eating plan again.

Hi Lindy ,... the newbie needs an explanation ... what the heck is FFF3?
ReplyDeletesounds like you have a stressful week ahead ... take care ... nj
Thanks for popping in Nora Jean. Fondles at Fondlers Anonymous has set up a challenge which a lot of us are doing called Fit for Friday. This is to try to make us healthier. So every Friday we do a check in to say how well or in my case how poorly our weeks achievements were. Pop over to fondles blog to check it out.
DeleteWill be happy to see the end of next week, that's for sure.

Hey Lindy! You and I are on the same course. We've got to heal first and get on that health kick second. Best of luck to you on Tuesday, not that you need it. The docs will take care of everything. You just hang out and dream of all the lovely green vegetables you can munch on in between swim class. :) Glad you had a fun time with the family and a happy Valentines with Bear.
ReplyDeleteAmy
Thank you Amy. Hope you have improved a bit this week with Eric keeping you on the right track. I'll be having a nice sleep on Tuesday, that's the best part. Will pop over to read your update. We can still cheer the others on from the side lines until we are fit and healthy again.

Hi Lindy, I wouldn't worry too much until after the dreaded procedure is done. Things are stressful at the moment so just plod on until it's over. Hugs,
ReplyDeletelove Jan, xx
Thanks Jan. Both Bear and I have been joking that tonight is my final supper so I've had a bit too much to drink. I was feeling positive until I had a phsychic reading. Now I'm worried. EEEKKK!

Hi Lindy,
ReplyDeleteWow, it sounds like a wonderful week. Glad you had a wonderful time with your sister, how lovely you had a special dinner in honour if your Mum. Sorry, but I did giggle at the bit where you burnt the curry. Sounds like that was the appropriate thing to do though :)
As for FFF, I'm with Jan, concentrate on healing and getting past the procedure first. Am thinking of you and sending positive thoughts for the procedure and results.
Hugs
Roz
Thank you Roz. Will concentrate on healing and be back at 100% later next week.

Sounds just like the kind of week you needed...full of love and good times! Good luck with the prep...know it is yucky...but soon it will be over. Keeping you in my prayers...hugs abby
ReplyDeleteThank you Abby, it was a fabulous week. I appreciate your prayers.

Lindy,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy week! All this takes time and support and you have both. Keep going!
Meredith
Thank you Meredith. Keeping on going and staying positive.

You have a lot on so heal first and get your procedure out of the way. Not sure if you've had that stuff before but I found that it's better when it's cold from the fridge. Will be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Ronnie
xx
Thank you Ronnie and appreciate the advice to have it cold.

Friday comes around way too quickly. Keeping fingers crossed all goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sunny, appreciate it.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
Glad you had a lovely week, you can catch up with the diet any time but time with family is precious. Rooting for a good result on your procedure. Forget the psychic reading!
ReplyDeleteRosie xx
Thank you Rosie. I agree time with family is precious especially when we are all getting on in years.

Hi Lindy, :) I'm with Ronnie, take a break and get through your procedure, then worry about the other things. <3 Her fridge tip is a great one. Since we can talk about anything (LOL) here, send Bear out for some aloe wipes- it will keep him busy and you won't have to worry about the padlock on the wc. Just kidding, I know that he is making his love laugh. Not kidding about the wipes though... You'll do great!
ReplyDeleteI think it is so neat that you got together with your sister and had a nice celebration with your Mom's birthday in mind!
Glad that you had a lovely Valentine's Day. I'll be thinking of you! Many hugs,
<3 Katie xoxo
Thank you Katie. Wow another great idea, will send Bear out for some wipes for sure.

yeah i'm late. sorry about that. hectic week. u can always get back to it after tuesday. first, deal with the necessary doctor visits and tests! good luck. i'm sure it'll all be ok!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fondles. Yes I plan to be right back on my bike again Wednesday riding to a better me.
DeleteHugs Lindy xx
Lindy,
ReplyDeleteCut yourself some slack. Once you can walk and exercise again, you will get right on track. Bear is your coach. :)
Sending lots of hugs before your procedure, but I know it will be OK. Just get through the prep. The last time I had to do it, both my doc and my pharmacist told me that it was perfectly fine to mix in a whole packet of powdered lemonade mix. Here, it is called Crysal Light. It was SO much easier to stomach. No gagging!
Sending Even More Hugs Down Under,
Ella
Thank you Ella, I will give the lemonade mix a go.

My thoughts are with you Lindy. What's important now is that you take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jlynne
Thank you Jlynne, I will indeed.

Wow, you have had a busy week. :) It is hard when so much is going on to keep up with an eating plan. The great news is that you can always just pick up again whenever you can, and you don't have to feel guilty over the times that didn't work out. :) Hope this week goes good for you, and that the test turns out as you expect. :) Well, maybe that the drink is a bit easier to go down. :P That stuff is GROSS. I mean... delectable... yeah, that's it. :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting EsMay, haven't seen you around the land lately. Oh yes that drink was disgusting, I held my breath when I drank it and chased it down with apple juice.
