I'm really showing my age here, as I think one of my favourite movies would have to be The Blues Brother with John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd. My family practically wore the spots off this movie playing it so often. The story line and music appealed to me at the time. Its the sort of moving that any age can watch.
Now this second part is a hard question for me, I don't have many happy memories of my childhood unfortunately. One thing that does stand out though, my next door neighbour and I wanted to go camping. I was a real tom boy back then, so hung out with the boys in the area. We were around 8 years old I think, so his Dad set up a tent in their back yard for us to experience camping. Our houses backed onto a huge park so when his Dad came out to check on us, we pretended to be asleep. In actual fact we were both too scared to sleep, about half way through the night we both went inside our own houses, after hearing one too many spooky noises. That was the one and only time I've been camping. LOL!
Thanks for your questions Roz, it was fun answering them. Don't forget its not too late to ask your questions for March Q&A

Hi Lindy,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for answering my questions. The Blues Brothers is an awesome film. I can watch it over and over too.
I'm so sorry you don't have many happy childhood memories. Your story made me smile and the ending made me giggle.

It was fun to answer Roz and made me think hard to come up with that childhood memory.

Hi,Lindy - here's my question - when did you first know that you were into kink? How did you realize it? Is there a story that goes with that?
ReplyDeleteThank you Olivia, I will get around to answering your questions in a bit.

The Blues Brothers? I'm going to have to check that out. I've never seen it. As for your childhood - perhaps life handed you Bear to make up for what you missed when you were little. It sounds like you two share a magical lifetime of memories. Hugs!

Aww thanks Amy that is really sweet to say. Yes I think I met my Bear for a special reason.

Hi Lindy, sorry you do not have many happy childhood memories. I liked your camping story. Camping in a cabin with running water and bathrooms is my preferred way to camp. :-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteTerps that is my preferred way to camp these days. A nice comfortable cabin with all the works.

Love the Blues Brothers, too, Lindy. Sam's dad gave our two boys some old wool felt hats when he retired, and the 2 of them played Jake and Elwood. They even had the shades and briefcase. Sam took a great photo of them that we put on the front of a calendar we had made for them several years ago. They can still do the lines from the movie, and it always makes me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI think your Bear was a gift from above, and giving your own kids a happy childhood made the best memories of all.
Sending Love and Hugs Down Under,
Ella
Oh that's wonderful your boys played Jake and Elwood. Such a cool movie to rewatch many times.
DeleteYes I agree Bear is my gift and I did make my own children's childhoods magical.
Hugs Lindy xx
Hi Lindy, never seen that film. To be honest I don't watch many films at all. There are loads that everyone but me has seen, lol. Rather read anyday. I am not the camping sort either, never have and probably never will. I think like us you two set out to give your children a better sort of childhood than you experienced.
ReplyDeletelove Jan, xx
Jan you should try find The Blues Brothers on dvd, I'm sure you and John would love it.
DeleteYes we seem to be in the same boat making our own children's childhoods better.
Hugs Lindy xx
